The Jordan Hotels Association held a short training course on Sunday, 13 April 2026, entitled “Front Office Management and Enhancing the Guest Experience,” targeting hotels in the Dead Sea area. This initiative comes as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency of employees in the hotel sector and to enhance the quality of services provided to guests.

The training was delivered by trainer Ali Faraj, who presented a range of essential skills related to front office operations. These included effective communication with guests, the importance of body language in reinforcing a professional impression, and refined, professional interaction techniques that positively impact the guest experience.

The course also addressed telephone etiquette, efficient reservation management, and the importance of time management in completing various procedures. In addition, it focused on strengthening positive engagement with guests and building professional relationships that contribute to higher levels of satisfaction and loyalty.

Particular emphasis was placed on the “guest journey,” from the initial booking stage through arrival and reception, check-in procedures, and the overall in-house guest experience, ensuring an integrated service approach and a smooth, comfortable stay.

The course further highlighted the importance of etiquette, professional appearance, and personal hygiene for front office staff, as they represent the hotel’s first point of contact and play a key role in reflecting its image and service standards.

It also underscored the importance of teamwork within the front office department and effective coordination with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and enhance overall service quality across hotels in the Dead Sea area.
